Adulting 101

This summer, our goal is to help as many teens as possible learn the (oh-so-important) life skill of money management. In order to do this, we will be offering a small group online coaching experience for teens in the months of June, July, and August.
The group tackles the life skills that we all need to learn, but sometimes aren’t taught directly at school. We’ll be covering everything from understanding income and benefits, creating and using a budget, being realistic about expenses, saving and investing, etc.
The best part about this group is that we do it all in an interactive and fun way (so the teens don’t fall asleep or roll their eyes!). They’ll use their income from their dream job as a guide to determine if they can actually afford all of the things they want for their future and how to save for unexpected events that life throws their way. They will leave the group with valuable skills that will change the way they think about money.

Want to learn how to manage their money NOW so they don’t have to worry about it later.
Just got their first credit card, checking account, or savings account.

Here’s what we will cover:
Session One
Session Two
Understanding a budget, learning about different tools and creating and maintaining a general budget.
Session Three
How to search for an apartment, insurance, cell phones and utilities, paying yourself first.
Session Four
Researching transportation, gas, car costs, public transportation, oil changes, repairs, and insurance.
Session Five
Let’s go shopping! Learning the typical price of food, clothing and various basic needs. Get ready to be shocked to see how it all adds up.

Does your budget balance? Can you survive? Reviewing the basic tools, biggest aha moments and valuable takeaways.
This program is ONLINE, so it’s perfect for BUSY students. Our classes are held online through Zoom meeting, a free app that students can use on any computer or mobile device with an internet connection.
We’ll also have audio & video recordings from each session, so students who miss a class can easily catch up on what we covered.
